From 29 March 2021, rental properties need to undertake safety audits to be compliant with consumer law in Victoria. Electrical safety audits and smoke detector checks need to be undertaken to ensure tenant safety, certifications need to be issued and non-compliant/unsafe works need to be rectified on the spot. Electrical Safety Checks
Services include:
- A full safety audit of the dwelling and electrical installation, meeting the legislated requirements as outlined by Consumer Affairs Victoria
- Completion and issue of an audit report
- Quotation and/or completion of works (If dwelling is deemed unsafe and work needs to be completed to be safe and compliant)
- 2 year reminder for next electrical safety audit
Smoke Detector Checks
Services include:
- Check of all smoke detectors and batteries to ensure they are safe and in working order
- Completion and issue of audit report
- Quotation and/or completion of works (If dwelling is deemed unsafe and work needs to be completed to be safe and compliant)
- Yearly reminder for next smoke detector audit
